river
Last night we went to a resturant with my aunt, and a family friend and the husbands. We had an amazing time laughing and sitting outside for hours. My mom bragged about how I picked a gigantic bucket of cherries all by myself and how helpful i've been around the house.

Then today we had a bbq by the river. Thick steaks and peppers on the grill...yep peppers. They just put them on the grill and then we peeled the skins off and ate them. It was delicious! After a lot of food and cold beer, me and my mom took a nap under the trees. It was heaven.

Time is running out!!!!!!!!

So... When do you come home now?

I saw that George Dubya was in Bulgaria this past week. Some reporter made the comment that it looked like Bulgaria liked the pres more than his own country does. I have no idea whether that is true or not (and honestly don't care), but I thought it was funny that a reporter would make that comment based on the number of groupies that showed up to his arrival hoping to see him in their country.

I was watching the news here and they certainly were excited to see him as it represents how important they have become in the last few years. Now I saw news clips from Albania and those people were all dressed in American flags. Kinda freaked me out how patriotic those people were for America!! It was weird to see how another country welcomes the president. They shut down city transport, all the shops on the main street were closed, women couldn't hang laundry on the balconies b/c it looks trashy and all cell phones were scrambled within x amount of distance of the presidents locations. Peace Corps volunteers got to do a meet and greet with him, but as i'm not a pcv anymore, I didn't get invited. That would have been cool to meet the president.
